- American Cause: Russell Kirk
- Conservative Mind: Russell Kirk
- Commentaries on the Constitution: Joseph Story
- Road to Serfdom: F.A. Hayek
What would you add/subtract from this list and why?
I would add the The Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx to be read alongside #1 Bastiat’s The Law. By comparing and contrasting these two works, you can recognize ideologies that are tending toward socialism and how to counter them with Bastiat’s principles. It’s always a good idea to know the strategies of your opponents.
